Saxon & Medieval Coins and Tokens c600 – 1662 – David Rudling
21st January 2021 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Thursday, January 21st @8pm – 9pm, on Zoom
Back by popular request, Dr David Rudling of the Sussex School of Archaeology, will follow last year’s talk about the origin of money by examining the development of coinage in Britain from Saxon to post-medieval times. Topics will include the issuing of private tokens made of pewter, lead, copper and silver, and the design and purposes of coins – as propaganda tools as much as instruments of trade.
Details of how to access the Zoom meeting and payment will be available approximately 10 days before the meeting.
